2011 SCBarCar Olympics | Events

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The very first SCBarCar Olympics comes to Downtown Charleston Saturday.

The "Winter Games" will consist of five local bars in downtown Charleston and five "Winter Games". The eight person teams will have free pick up and drop offs at their ‘team meeting locations’ before and after the games. Free transportation to and from the participating bars will be provided by the SCBarCar as well for all Olympians. The cost is $20 per person or $150 per team. Ticket prices include everything! Participants need to have their ID ready at pick up, they will NOT be allowed in the SCBarCar or allowed to Compete without it!

At each venue, there is an event:
 
1st 'O' Ring- BIG BUCK HUNTER- Salty Mikes
Accumulated score... Each point scored is equal to a time value, which will be subtracted at the conclusion. That way the higher the score, the better, but clock is always ticking.
Each team will play two four player games, so everyone has to play.
 
2nd 'O' Ring- HOT SHOT- O’Malley’s
Accumulated score... Each point scored is equal to one second, which will be subtracted from the teams final time.
3rd 'O' Ring- BEER PONG- The Blind Tiger
10 Cups per side. 4 people play each game, so there will be 2 complete games.
Players must hit every cup to continue. Not competing against teammates, competing against the clock. Beer will not be used for this event. Players can choose from several non alcoholic choices, especially water! Cups will have water spread over 10 cups.
 
4th 'O' Ring- FLIP CUP- Fuel
Each team will have to Complete 8 rounds of flip cup. Water must and will be used for this event as well.
Teams will be timed to see how fast they can complete all 8 rounds!
 
5th 'O' Ring- BODY PAINTING-Torch
Teams will have to cover a mystery person, from head to toe in Body paint.
Teams will be timed and judged on their finished piece of live art!
Body Painting is a group effort with bonus time reduced for best style and design.
Teams will also be awarded time reductions for best team uniforms and best team names.

Teams will be picked up around 2:30 pm.
All teams will be dropped off at the HUB, 80 Cannon, downtown.
At 3, we will all meet and greet, ID Check, Give Wrist Bands, and Olympian Drink tickets as well.
8 man Teams will be dispersed and we will have a 'Shotgun Start' around 3:30.
No more than 2 Drink tickets can be used at one venue.
If players do not have 8 people, we can help them out and place them with others on the ‘International Team”.

Once all of the teams have finished the games, we will return everyone to Torch for the Gold Medal Ceremony. Free Food will be provided by Jimmy Johns to help sober people up!
