RiverDogs movie night

The RiverDogs have teamed with a new production company that focuses on baseball related films to host a movie screening at the Joe on Saturday, July 24th.

The evening’s screening will feature the film "SPACEMAN: A Baseball Odyssey", which follows Red Sox legend Bill “Spaceman” Lee on a colorful weeklong barnstorming trip to the island of Cuba. The film received critical acclaim at numerous festivals, and recently made its national premiere on the MLB Network.

Other activities will include the “Fungoman Challege” on the field, where young and old will have a chance to pickup ground balls in the infield and layout for pop ups in the outfield.  The “Wheelhouse Walk-off” will test hitting prowess in the batting cage, while participants have their swing filmed and broken down courtesy of former Yankees and Pirate’s catcher Don Slaught.

Tickets are $5, and kids under 12 get in free.
