Title (Max 100 Charaters)
CHARLESTON (WCSC) - A shipment of water treatment systems in on its way from Charleston to Haiti in order to provide clean water to the thousands of Hatians who are still without it.
Water Missions International will be installing 40 systems in areas that have Cholera-infected water. The Pan-American Health Organization says that with the upcoming hurricane season, it is likely that there will be a resurgence of Cholera outbreaks, which is a waterborne illness.
Water Missions hopes that the treatment systems will help limit the number of potential outbreaks. Already, 2,600 cases are identified every week.
