Forbes: Charleston is 9th-most overpriced city in US

CHARLESTON (WCSC) - Charleston is definitely a wonderful place to live, but according to Forbes.com, it's more overpriced than New York City.

The website for the popular business publication recently posted a list of the 27 "Most Overpriced Cities" in the U.S., and the Charleston metro area, which includes Charleston, North Charleston, and Summerville, is ranked ninth.

Forbes.com cites housing affordability, unemployment rate, cost of living, and median salary for college graduates in their ranking.

Los Angeles ranks as the most overpriced city followed by Fresno and Miami.  Honolulu and West Palm Beach also rank in the top 10.
